ENSEMBLES

SYMPHONIC BAND

This band is composed of some of our most talented students at SFMS, including 7th and 8th graders.  This group will work to perform in football games, pepo rallies, assemblies, outdoor concerts, district assessment, state assessments and winter/spring concerts. 

CONCERT BAND

Concert Band is our next group on the path from Beginning to Symphonic Band.  This group consists of 7th and 8th graders that will perform with Symphonic Band as well as at assessments and winter/spring concerts.  These students begin to work on more challenging music along with perfecting their skills on their instruments.

BEGINNING BAND

Beginning Band is comprised of our newest members to the band, and  beginning Fall of 2021, there will be a Beginning Band Class for 6th as well as a separate Beginning Class for interested 7th and 8th graders!!  Missed your chance to check band out during 6th grade?  Now is your chance to join the Toro Band!!  We encourage all grades to join band, and learn how to play an instrument!  We teach each student how to read music, the basics of their instrument, and you will be performing challenging music before you know it! Beginning Band performs at the winter/spring concert as well as certain pep rallies and assemblies.  We take great pride in offering Beginning Band to all incoming students and we do not conflict with any other sport or club program at SFMS!  Band is very fun and you will not regret giving it a try!
